Season Updates
"Statement as of 11:30 am EDT on September 2, 2007 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Felix...located about 50 miles north of Aruba.
An area of low pressure...associated with a tropical wave...is located about midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles. This system is expected to move westward near 10 mph for the next day or so. The associated shower activity is limited and upper-level winds are unfavorable for significant development at this time. However...the circulation is well-defined and there is still some potential for this system to become a tropical depression during the next couple of days.
An area of cloudiness and showers just to the east of the Georgia coast is associated with a decaying frontal zone. This system has some potential for tropical development over the next day or two as it drifts generally eastward."

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall
With temperatures in the 50's, 20mph East winds and minimal sunshine it sure does feel like fall showed up early this year and that means the USBA Jenks Pro, NYBB Pro and Unsound Pro are right around the corner. Rumor has it that Pro bodyboarders Mike Stewart, Spencer Skipper, Tamega, Jeff Hubbard and Dave Hubbard will be here for the NYBB Pro which is scheduled for Sept. 5th-9th. Check out Nybodyboarding.com for more information.
On another note Hurricane Dean didn't supply the East Coast with the swell everyone had hoped for, but it did kick start the hurricane season and we should be seeing more systems pushing through the atlantic in the next few weeks just in time for the chain of competitions taking place in NY & NJ.
If you have been surfing the past few days you might want to take note that the swell is about 3 or 4 feet at 16 seconds. The shots below were taken during this swell.
